Barbara J. Smith, 77, of Frankfort, IN, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2019. She was living at Wesley Manor.

Barbara was born in Bell City, Kentucky on March 19, 1942 to Clarence and Georgia (Harris) McQueen.  She attended Frankfort High School. She Married Luther M. Smith Sr. on May 16, 1959 and officiated by Rev. Lewis G. Smith at Frankfort Pilgrim Chapel.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Marion Smith , her parents, 5 brothers and 2 sisters and one grandson Joshua Smith. One sister survives Sally Folck

Barbara’s pride and joy were her four sons and watching them grow into men, she loved being a mom and a wife.

Barbara owned her own restaurant(s) and was a lifelong cook.  After retirement she loved being a grandmother, fishing, and sewing, and playing bingo. She was always helping others and making sure that everyone had what they needed.

She is survived by four sons; Luther (Charlene), Danny (Lottie), Benny (Annette), Steve (Trish). Eight Grandchildren and Eight Great Grand-Children.

Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday June 22, 2019 from 11am to 12:45pm, followed by a Memorial Service at 1pm at Victory Chapel, 196 S. West Street Frankfort, Indiana.
